Summer's over, so Halloween looms! Barely two months away!
So first up is two ads--one for something called Armour Star Meats from 1951:
Looks...uh, delicious, right?
Then from WAY back in 1925 is this candy ad--never heard of the candy.
And how about this McDonald's bib that at first glance seems to be warning of midgets. From 1970
Finally something that sounds dirty but isn't. Shadow handies. I dunno, maybe your version is dirty. Not sure what year they're from, but I do know that Chinese man shadow seems pretty racist to me...
This is the companion blog to my book, out in October of 2015. Anything Halloween-related that I find interesting I'll put here.

Vintage Photos of Models and Witches, Plus More Beistle
Not sure who these people are, but two of the three definitely look like pro vintage pics.
Then here's this cool 1985 Beistle skeleton in a haunted house window.

Creepy Vintage Clown Mask, A Halloween Hat, A Coca Cola Seasons Tray
This is a very old, probably 1960's paper mache clown mask. I'm sure it wasn't meant to be creepy, but definitely gives me a little John Wayne Gacy feel...
Here's a hat, circa 1920-1930, that features either a kid in a pumpkin costume, or a genetic freak of nature.
Now this last one isn't specifically Halloween, but I've included it because Halloween is part of it.
It's from 1953--a cool tin tray. My grandma had one very much like this, and I featured it in the book. You can see a couple pictures down the one that shows the Halloween part.
Either way, a cool piece of ephemera.
