Halloween Ice Cream That Will Get You Drunk

We take a break from the vintage stuff for this emergency announcement:

There is now ice cream that will get you drunk, and there's a FALL VERSION of it. Three kinds in fact!

You can find them here:
https://tipsyscoop.com/shop/fall-seasonal-flavor-pack/

They are listed as:

  • Salted Caramel Apple Brandy: Ice cream made with salted caramel and fresh apples and infused with brandy.
  • Spiked Spiced Pumpkin Pie: Ice cream made with pumpkin, spiced rum, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  • Candy Corn Vodka Martini: Ice cream made with candy corns and candy-corn infused vodka.

The bad news? Apparently you can only pick them up or have them delivered in New York...and they're limited edition!

I have friends in New York...might have to hit them up!

Collegeville Monster Squad Dracula Costume / Hershey Ads / Pumpkin-Head Ghosts

First off comes this super cool Dracula Mask from Collegeville, right out of the Monster Squad movie, which I'll admit I never knew had costumes...didn't think it was that popular back then.

Then there's these two ads--one's a Hershey ad(I believe it's 2011) and the other is a Carnation milk ad, though it's definitely more Fall-centric than Halloween.

Then finally these not Vintage, but definitely very cool Pumpkin-headed ghost hangers. I wouldn't mind picking up a set of these myself.

Vintage Halloween Pics From Yesteryear...

Here we go, some more pics from Halloweens past!

First we go into the WAY BACK machine to a photo from 1910! A Halloween party! And over 100 years ago!

Then there's this little girl in the 1930's. No idea why she's looking at a flower bush, but maybe they didn't have TV back then...this was their entertainment. :)

Here's a little skeleton kid from the 1950's. Mask on, mask off!

From 1968 is this creepy couple who you might think is a little old to be putting on Halloween costumes, but if you think that then you're not really into Halloween, are you? NO ONE'S too old to put on Halloween costumes.

Here's a couple from the 1970's. I'm guessing, from her expression, that her boyfriend is pretty drunk and making an ass of himself.

And here's a 1984 selection of kids dressed up in costume(probably for school). Most of these look homemade.

Lastly are these two cute girls from an unknown time. 60's maybe? Don't know, but they're definitely outside way too early to be trick or treating...

More to come! Halloween's barrelling at us so fast!

Ben Cooper Clown Masks and Costumes/ Old Devil Mask / Wheaties & Kellogg's Cereal Masks

I have a section in the book no costumes, from my personal childhood favorite Ben Coopers to Topstone and more.

Here's a Ben Cooper Clown costume mask from the 1960's. The costume accompanying it claims to be a Hobo costume so I'm not sure if this is a mismatched pair or whether they were sort of interchangeable back then. I'm guessing mismatch.

This is a creepy devil mask from the 50's or 60's. No idea of brand though.

Lastly is this couple of masks from Wheaties and Kellogg's in the fifties. They did a lot of these on the backs of their boxes so kids could cut them out and wear them. Here's just two of them.

Okay. OCTOBER!

I wanna do this this year--seems pretty creepy.

So I've been pretty busy with the premiere of my new film "Terrortory" on Amazon Prime--you can add it and my other movies to your watchlist by going here:
http://bit.ly/amazonhorror

But I know I have to start updating this page more often--I have so much stuff to show you! First, maybe you heard but Home Depot got some creepy window peepers that apparently got recalled in Canada because people are pussies they're too creepy.

This one is cool, and if I see it I'm buying it.

Okay, on to some neat vintage stuff!

First is this Rosbro candy container. Rosbro has made a ton of plastic things--many of them candy containers--and you can find variations of this Jack O'Lantern Scarecrow on eBay if you look hard enough. I'm not sure what the date on this is though.

Then we have two die-cuts, which I always love. Their basically posterboard cartoon characters, and who doesn't like that? The first one is from Eureka. The 2nd I'm not sure about.

More to come!

Halloween Decorations In Stores...

The Spirit stores have been open for over a month, but it wasn't until recently that I started seeing decorations in regular stores.

Was at Home Depot tonight and they have quite a good-sized selection of stuff. Always fun to make a pass through and check out what they have.

Would certainly have some fun with this 8 foot tall scarecrow...
